What EpisodeShare is

EpisodeShare turns a podcast episode into a shareable promo page for the episode's guest: quote cards, captions, and a download link. This page explains what we collect and why, in plain language.

What we collect from podcasters (account holders)

• Your email address, used to log you in and to contact you about your account.
• If you set a password, we store only a salted cryptographic hash of it — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google account identifier; nothing else from your Google account.
• The episode links, show names, guest names, and guest photos you submit to build kits.
• Transcripts of the episodes you submit, generated by a speech-to-text provider.

What we collect on guest pages

When someone visits a guest page, we record that the page was opened, that the kit was downloaded, and whether a share button was clicked. To count repeat visits without identifying anyone, we store a salted, hashed version of the visitor's IP address and browser signature — never the raw IP address or device details. These hashes rotate daily and cannot be reversed into an identity by us or anyone else.

AI-generated content

Quotes shown on cards and pages are selected from the episode transcript and are checked against it before publishing — we reject quotes that don't match what was actually said. Captions are drafted by an AI model from the transcript. Transcription and drafting are performed by third-party providers (currently Deepgram and Anthropic) that process the episode audio and transcript to provide the service.

Removal

If you appear on a guest page and want it changed or taken down, email support@episodeshare.com and we will remove it promptly. You do not need an account to request removal.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't run ads or third-party ad trackers.
• We don't claim to know whether a guest posted anything — we only track opens, downloads, and share-button clicks.
